Sometimes it's hard to not get bitter. Any slave out there who has been close to a Domme will understand what I mean. I suppose if you follow forums where Dommes speak more freely you might also understand the darker side of this business. The term time-waster is used so often it loses it's punch, like 'taxes', 'bad drivers' and other annoying things that are just a part of life.

I love my life and I love what I do. Most days time-wasters don't bother me too much. I just chalk it up as a part of the job or a part of life I don't like and focus on the positive. Once in a while though one will go above and beyond and I kind of snap.

The latest loser-of-the-week played a convincing song-and-dance about flying us to Europe for a session. As I went through my usual screening asking for references and a tribute of some kind to show he was for real all seemed to be going in the right direction and I mistakenly allowed myself to get excited about the upcoming trip.

A side note here: I have had several trips payed for by wonderful slaves. It DOES happen. Unfortunately for every one that comes to fruition there are about 100 time-wasting bull shitters.

The reference this guy gave was for a Domme who was on holidays this week. I was suspicious that he knew this and chose her on purpose thinking she wouldn't respond. She did take the time to get back to me which may have surprised Mr. loser-of-the-week. It seems that although he has sessioned with her once he had jerked her around on offering a trip that never materialized. He also told her he had done this sort of thing before but was unable to produce any real references for her (or me).

I assure you that each of the slaves who paid for my travel could use me as a reference. If he had in fact done this before and he was safe, sane and serious, he would have a reference.

So that's the end of that...but I'm angry. Angry at him for wasting a day of my time emailing back and forth and I'm angry at myself for allowing myself to become excited before I had finished screening him.

I am digging deep today to focus on the positives and in particular on Dave, who ironically emailed me out of the blue this morning. It was wonderful to be able to balance things out with Dave, a slave who has followed through with everything he's ever said he would do. He flew us to Houston for a session and then came here to Vancouver. His gifts have been thoughtful & generous and he has been a perfect gentleman throughout.

All slaves should aspire to be the best slaves they can be...which isn't complicated. It just means being the best human being that you can possibly be.
